In Montreal, Canada on August 14–16, 2025 CIAT participated in consecutive events that brought together experts, practitioners, and students to discuss the future of tax administration and showcase the next generation of talent. The seminar was organized with support from HEC Montreal, TEI and Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP.

During the IFA Canada Tech & Tax Seminar 2.0, CIAT’s International Taxation Manager participated in a high-level panel discussion on the digitalization of the tax administration. The panel gathered distinguished colleagues from across sectors to exchange perspectives on how artificial intelligence, data analytics, and technology are reshaping tax administration around the globe.

Complementing this dialogue, the 3rd Annual International Tax Student Case Competition took place, hosted by the Tax Executives Institute (TEI) with financial support from IFA Canada. This unique event challenged student teams from around the world to analyze and present solutions to complex international tax cases before a panel of judges. Alongside the competition, participants engaged in workshops and networking sessions to foster collaboration.
