Closing Seminar of the VII class of the Virtual Master’s Degree in International Taxation, Foreign Trade and Customs
From July 5 to 7, 2023, in Panama City, the closing seminar was held for of the VII promotion of the virtual Master’s Degree in International Taxation, Foreign Trade and Customs, a program carried out between the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations – CIAT – and the Universidad Externado de Colombia. Officials from the tax administrations and the private sector of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Nicaragua participated in this program.
The opening address was provided by Raul Zambrano, CIAT’s Director of Technical Assistance and ICTs, Olga Lucía González, Director of the Tax Law Department, and Carolina Acosta, Academic Coordinator of the Master’s Program at Universidad Externado de Colombia.
During this seminar, the CIAT Executive Secretariat managers and officials presented various current taxation topics: Alejandro Juárez, Director of Training and Human Talent Development; Gonzalo Arias, Director of International Cooperation and Taxation; Raul Zambrano, Director of Technical Assistance and ICT; Santiago Díaz de Sarralde, Director of Tax Studies and Research; Mariano Rojo, Head of the Spanish Mission to CIAT; David Borja, Project Manager; Vinicius Pimentel, Chief Technology Executive.
Officials from the DGI of Panama, Dilia Palma, Deputy Head of the Information Exchange Department and Dayana Gómez from the Electronic Invoicing Department; and the participation of the external transfer pricing consultant, José Luis Galíndez were also participating.
During the seminar, presentations of theses were made, as well as on the progress of the student’s theses for this master’s program.
