Acceptance of terms and conditions of use

When registering in our online courses, you accept the terms and conditions thereof. If you decide not to accept them, you have the right not to take our courses. The course’s Administration reserves the right to modify these terms, at its discretion and your participation in the course implies that you also accept these changes. Any change in these terms will be informed to all active users registered in a course via electronic mail.

Copyright

All the contents of the courses, including text, graphs, presentations, logos, icons, images, audio and video clips and digital downloads are the intellectual property of CIAT, of the author of the material or third parties with previous authorization. The delivery of the course material does not imply the transfer of the copyright, except for making it available for learning. The user may print and download the contents of the courses wherein he is registered for his particular use and for learning purposes. The material cannot be copied, reproduced, translated, modified or uploaded in social media or web sites, nor distributed by any means without the author’s written permission.

Product

The courses consist of a series of topics detailed in the planning of the course. Every topic appears organized in different lessons and/or units with their respective activities.

Access to courses

The user accesses the courses by means of a user name and personal password which he establishes when registering in EduCIAT.

Validity of the registration fee

The course’s registration fee is paid in full upon acceptance of the registration and is valid as of the beginning of the course and up to three months following conclusion of the course.

Certificates

All users completing the activities within the stipulated term and obtaining a final grade equal to or above 80% may download a digital certificate of the course through a link that will be set up upon its conclusion.

Users personal data

In order to register in EduCIAT, the user must provide some personal data such as (but not limited to) name, surnames, DNI and e-mail address. The user is responsible for the veracity of the data. When providing the data, the EduCIAT user accepts that CIAT may store these data and use them for purposes dealing with the management of the course, including sending of communications via electronic mail, sending of materials related to the course(s) offered in the platform and the dissemination of news or bibliographical material. CIAT does not share these data with third parties.

Privacy of personal data

This Center treats the users’ personal data with absolute confidentiality.

Right of withdrawal 

As of the date of initiation of the course, the user has a term of 21 calendar days, to withdraw from the course, with the right to full reimbursement of the payment of the registration fee. The bank charges and other transfer costs, if any, shall be discounted from the amount of the refund. The user may request that this reimbursement be considered a credit to be subsequently used in the EduCIAT platform.
