On April 23, 2024, the 58th. CIAT General Assembly was inaugurated in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil,, with the central theme: “Prevention and conflict resolution mechanisms and promotion of voluntary compliance”, under the sponsorship of the Federal Revenues of Brazil and the participation of delegations from CIAT member countries, international organizations, and other invited countries, in face-to-face mode.

The Opening Ceremony was presided over by Mr. Robinson Sakiyama Barreirinhas, Special Secretary of the Federal Revenue of Brazil, Ms. Adriana Gomes Rêgo, Special Secretary of the Federal Revenue, who recently assumed the presidency of the CIAT Executive Council for the 2024-2025 period, and Mr. Márcio F. Verdi, CIAT Executive Secretary.
