CIAT’s Executive Secretariat visits the National Tax Service and Strategic Partners in Bolivia

To strengthen ties with strategic partners and explore opportunities for cooperation with Bolivia’s National Tax Service (SIN), a CIAT delegation visited Bolivia. The delegation included the Director of International Cooperation and Taxation and the Head of the Spanish Mission.

On April 14, the delegation visited the Spanish Cooperation Training Center in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The delegation was received by the Center’s director, Jesús Molina Vázquez, and his team. During the meeting, the objectives and priorities of both institutions were discussed, as well as activities that could be conducted at the training center in the short and medium term.

On April 15, the CIAT delegation, along with SIN President Jorge Zogbi and his team, were received by the Spanish Ambassador, Fernando García Casas, and his team. The meeting provided an opportunity for SIN to present its main priorities, within the framework of its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, and to discuss opportunities for cooperation between Spanish institutions, SIN, and CIAT.

On April 16, the CIAT delegation met with the President of SIN and his management team. During the meeting, they discussed strategic issues and potential initiatives to be considered within the framework of the 2026–2030 Strategic Plan. The delegation also toured SIN’s headquarters, which houses one of the most modern data centers in the region. The headquarters also have offices, training rooms, and an auditorium, enabling SIN to provide a wide range of services. The following day, April 17, the CIAT delegation was received at the Swiss Embassy by Mr. Patrick Kull, chargé d’affaires, and his team. They discussed opportunities to support SIN and, eventually, countries in Latin America and the Caribbean through Swiss Cooperation.
