The Ministry of Economy and Finance of Italy is currently coordinating with the Executive Secretariat, the holding of the 57th CIAT Technical Conference to be held in Naples, on October 19-22, 2009.

Progress regarding the organization of the conference may be consulted by all the participants and others interested at the Web page especially prepared by the Organizing Committee.

The main theme for this year’s Technical Conference is: “The strengthening of the Tax Administration’s capacity”, which will deal with three fundamental aspects:

• Design and implementation of the Tax Policy: The role of the tax Administration.
• Key aspects for improving the control capacity of the tax administration.
• Management tool and relevant aspects of context for strengthening the tax administration.

Again, this will be another opportunity promoted by CIAT and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Italy  for participants to share experiences on tax issues, as well as establish contacts with colleagues from different areas.
