Under the auspices of Ecuador’s Internal Revenue Service (SRI) and the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations, the Second Workshop on the “Implementation of the Electronic Invoice in Tax Administrations” was successfully held in the city of Quito on June 24th-26th.

Unlike the first workshop, on this occasion, participants were provided more detailed information on the following issues: format definition, delivery of e-invoice in reception centers, data storage, and electronic invoice for oversight activities. Also discussed was the use of the forum through the CIAT website to inform participants of activities in this area.

On this occasion, there were 39 participants from 16 Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries.

The participants displayed a great deal of enthusiasm over the workshop. Further activities in this area are being planned for the future.
