Last November 10 to12, the Center for tax studies and customs (CETAD) of the Receita Federal of Brazil, with the collaboration of the Inter-American Center of tax administrations (CIAT), have held in the city of Brasilia, Brazil, a seminar – international workshop on tax expenditures.

The event was held with the aim of promoting a space for regional discussion on the evaluation of the results of public policies funded by tax expenditures, and the need for integration of information from the agencies involved in the cost estimate, control and management policies.

This event generated an important international comparative analysis on the issue. It addresses not only the situation of Brazil but also international experiences, with the participation of officials of the Receita Federal and other agencies of the Government of Brazil, as well as representatives of the tax administrations of Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Paraguay, and leading international speakers from the Ministry of Finance of Dominican Republic and ECLAC.
