Alberto Barreix
Alberto Barreix is a consultant for CIAT and the IDB where he was a Senior Fiscal Leader leading technical assistance in tax and macro fiscal reform programs in Latin America and the Caribbean; he previously worked at the Ministry of Finance (Tax Administration) of Uruguay. Mr. Barreix received a Ph.D., a Masters in Public Administration, and a Masters in International Taxation from Harvard University, where he was a lecturer and researcher. His contributions have been the co-authorship of: Semi-Dual Income Tax, VAT P (personalized), Equivalent Tax Pressure, Comprehensive and Accrued Income Tax, Macro-Sectorial Tax Pressure and Suspense VAT for the agricultural sector.
