Alberto Barreix

Fiscal Principal Leader of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), in charge of technical assistance and fiscal reform programs in Latin America and the Caribbean, especially in relation to tax and macrofiscal issues. Before joining the IDB he was professor at the Schools of Government and Law of Harvard University, Coordinator of the Fiscal Policy Committee of MERCOSUR and Director of the Statistics and Fiscal Policy Department of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uruguay.

Mr. Barreix has a PhD. degree, a Master in Public Administration degree (J.F. Kennedy School of Government) as well as a Master in International Taxation degree (Harvard Law School) from the University of Harvard.
