CIAT participated in the Preparatory Cycle of the National Meeting on Planning and Institutional Management “SUNAT 4.0: Professionalism, Technology and Predictability at the Service of the Common Good”

On September 15–16, 2025, the International Preparatory Cycle of the National Meeting on Planning and Institutional Management “SUNAT 4.0: Professionalism, Technology and Predictability at the Service of the Common Good” was held, organized by the National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (SUNAT) of Peru. The event virtually brought together distinguished international experts and institutions to discuss the role of digital transformation and innovation in strengthening tax and customs administrations.
In this context, the CIAT participated in the session entitled “Challenges and Opportunities of International Taxation for Latin American and Caribbean Countries,” delivered by Ms. Tiffany Reyes, official from the CIAT Directorate of Cooperation and International Taxation. The intervention provided an analysis of the current situation and the potential impact of global tax developments in the region, while fostering an exchange of perspectives on how administrations can prepare for emerging challenges.
The agenda also incorporated international conferences focused on digital innovation and cross-border cooperation, offering participants a global perspective on the challenges and opportunities for tax and customs administrations.
